Today’s Wedding Planning Wednesday is dedicated to Bridal Party Games! One of the main components of planning a bridal shower is the games. Bridal shower games help make the shower more memorable for the bride and the attending guests. They also help break the ice if you have a big group of people.
Who Knows the Bride Best?
Supplies: A sheet with 10-20 questions about the bride (one handout per guest)
This game can get pretty fun if you throw in some personal questions about the bride (brides first kiss, favorite feature on groom, etc). The person throwing the bridal shower should have the bride fill out an answer key of all the questions that will be on the questionnaire before the actual shower. When you’re ready to play the game just give each guest a handout with the questions about the bride. Give them 5-10 minutes to answer as many questions as they can. When time is up go through each question and let the guests know the correct answer. The guest who got the most questions right is the winner.
What’s In Your Purse?
With this activity, the hostess has a list of items with points assigned to each item. Common items have lower points and the more unusual items have higher points. For each item on the list, the guests get the assigned points. Whoever has the most points is proclaimed the winner.
The Candy Match Game!
Candy Match game where your guests have to match candy games with parts of a wedding…some of them you have to say out loud to understand…(Twix, etc.)
The Famous Marriages match game is where you have to match the famous couples…you can add bonus points if your guests get their names correct as a way to solve any ties!
He Said She Said
Players take turns thinking of lines to add to a romantic story about the bride and groom (example opener: “Tess and Toby met at the office”). Pass the sheet around and have each person write a new line, folding the paper to only reveal the freshest sentence. After everyone has contributed, the final piece is read aloud to the bride.
