It’s that time of year! Halloween is just around the corner and pumpkins are everywhere to be found! Why not make your pumpkin stand out from the crowd with some fun glitter designs! Then adorn your tabletop, front door and any other area in your home with these fun, easy to make decor items!

To glitter your pumpkin:

1. Spray the top and middle portion of a pumpkin with spray adhesive. While the glue is still wet, use a spoon to sprinkle glitter over the sticky surface of the pumpkin. Allow to dry

2. Pick up the pumpkin and shake off any glitter that didn’t fully adhere. Set the pumpkin aside and fold the craft paper to funnel the excess glitter back into its original container.

Who could resist these gold glittered polka dot pumpkins! Use multiple colors of glitter for a more unique look.

Today’s Wedding Planning Wednesday is dedicated to Bridal Party Games! One of the main components of planning a bridal shower is the games. Bridal shower games help make the shower more memorable for the bride and the attending guests. They also help break the ice if you have a big group of people.

Who Knows the Bride Best?

Supplies: A sheet with 10-20 questions about the bride (one handout per guest)

This game can get pretty fun if you throw in some personal questions about the bride (brides first kiss, favorite feature on groom, etc). The person throwing the bridal shower should have the bride fill out an answer key of all the questions that will be on the questionnaire before the actual shower. When you’re ready to play the game just give each guest a handout with the questions about the bride. Give them 5-10 minutes to answer as many questions as they can. When time is up go through each question and let the guests know the correct answer. The guest who got the most questions right is the winner.

What’s In Your Purse?

With this activity, the hostess has a list of items with points assigned to each item. Common items have lower points and the more unusual items have higher points. For each item on the list, the guests get the assigned points. Whoever has the most points is proclaimed the winner.

The Candy Match Game!

Candy Match game where your guests have to match candy games with parts of a wedding…some of them you have to say out loud to understand…(Twix, etc.)

Famous Marriages!

The Famous Marriages match game is where you have to match the famous couples…you can add bonus points if your guests get their names correct as a way to solve any ties!

 He Said She Said

Players take turns thinking of lines to add to a romantic story about the bride and groom (example opener: “Tess and Toby met at the office”). Pass the sheet around and have each person write a new line, folding the paper to only reveal the freshest sentence. After everyone has contributed, the final piece is read aloud to the bride.

Happy Sunday! Today our Bridal Shower Sunday inspiration is all about what to wear to your shower! Since most bridal showers take place during the daylight hours, a pretty day dress is best. When searching for a shower dress, look for something with a little feminine flair such as bows or lace.
